A footing drain plugged with roots

The old footing drain was packed solid with roots and silt, so the water around the foundation had nowhere to go but the crawlspace. We dug down along the foundation, under the deck, and replaced it.

Catching groundwater along a driveway

Groundwater moving across the hardpan showed up in the trench as soon as it was open. A drain along the edge of the driveway catches it and carries it away.
